This repro was built by the company which originally built the Sprint in the late 1960’s. It has only been run at the 2007 “The Big One” vintage karting event in Fremont Ohio. The kart has less than 2 hours of total run time, and the tire mold lines are still visible. This kart has several upgrades over the factory chassis, including Scott Wigginton reproduction Go Power wheels (over $300.00), a “Bubba” Davis repro Palmini spun aluminum fuel tank with screw-on cap ($275.00), Airheart 175 hydraulic disc brake system and a Covico stainless steel spoke steering wheel. The Margay gearbox is in good condition and comes with 7.0/1, 7.4/1 and 7.6/1 gear sets. It also comes with the clutch oil housing, Horstman Rev Grip clutch and support bearing. The outer housing and clutch are for a West Bend 820 or 610 engine, but you may run a McCulloch engine with the purchase of the proper outer clutch housing and clutch. This kart is ready for you to mount your engine and GO! Aside from the engine, it needs nothing. It has a custom metallic maroon powdercoat finish, and the wheels are transparent gold over the base aluminum. It has 3.40-3.00X5 narrow Cheng Shin slicks on the front, and 4.10-3.50X5’s on the rear. It handles great and is a blast to drive! I would prefer that the kart be picked up from Bosque Farms, NM (15 miles south of Albuquerque).
