I recently purchased this Beautiful old bow from an Estate sale. The deceased had purchased this new back in the fifties and was the original and only owner according to his wife. She said that he had taught Archery classes in the Detroit area many years ago. I also purchased some other vintage Archery items from her, so please see my other listings. The bow measures 61 ¾ inches from tip to tip unstrung. The tips have a rubber cover on them. The bow is marked 25BE103   66”   38#. The limb has the Bear Archery Logo, Grayling Michigan and the 1953 patent date. (Grayling is about 100 miles from where I live). I have sold a few of these old Bear Bows before, but I have never come across a yellow one. The riser is a longer one, roughly 18 inches. The wood and workmanship are just Beautiful! The wood is a medium dark tone with a contrasting darker section laminated in above the arrow rest. They sure don’t make them like this one anymore. There are the typical handling marks you would expect to find on a bow of this age. There are also some stress cracks in the fiberglass. Please see the pictures. It came with a string, but it is frayed, so for safety reasons it will not be included with the bow. You will have to purchase a new one. I did string it so I could take a picture. It also comes with a cloth case. As with all the Vintage bows that I have sold, I cannot guarantee them due to their Vintage nature.
