These were part of some items that I recently purchased at an Estate sale. I also purchased a Vintage Bear Recurve bow, please see my other listings. There are 7 items in this auction. 3 vintage arm guards and 1 vintage leather quiver, and 3 arrows. The quiver is brown leather with trimmed with a reddish leather pocket. The only marking is on the back of the rivet on the strap. It looks like RAU F Co. Prov.R.I. It measures 19 inches long and the top opening is 5 inches across at its widest part. There are 4 holes that look like the previous took rivets out of, probably to remove a divider. The stitching looks good and is all intact. Next item is a Bear brand leather arm guard. It measures 6 ½ inches long. It is stamped with the Bear logo. It has elastic straps with brass clips. It is in good condition. Next is a Shakespeare brand leather arm guard. It is marked Shakespeare Archery Equipment Made in USA. It is 7 inches long and looks like it has little or no use. The makers mark is positioned where the string would hit and it is in excellent condition. The stitching is in excellent condition, and also has elastic straps with metal clips (not brass). Next is a very old arm guard with no markings that I can find, and measures 7 ¾ inches long. This one has clips, like an old boot that you would lace up. The leather and stitching are in good condition, but the lining on the back has hardened and is brittle. Most of it is gone, and the rest easily flakes off. Last are 3 old arrows, all would need tips and/or knocks and fletchings. One is a Bear, the second is wooden, and the third feels like wood on the knock end and metal on the other end. I think these items would make an excellent addition to any vintage Archery collection and great for display. Low starting bid and no reserve.
