This is a vintage Chouinard Frost ice axe, fully marked on the head, as the pictures show. Made in Italy. Camp logos and Chouinard Frost in script. The axe is 27 1/2" and the head is 11". The hole in the head has all its original blue paint, and the bamboo shaft is smooth with some marks but with no deep scratches from being banged on crampons. The steel work is in good condition with minor surface rusting, which would easily clean off if required.
