Several coats of marine varnish finish the canoe. The clear epoxy and fiberglass cloth on both sides of the cedar seal it completely from water and provide strength leaving the interior of the hull with no ribs. The result is a very strong, yet lightweight, canoe that displays the beauty of the wood while having the protection of marine epoxy. This lightweight canoe has good carrying capacity.
