Description
Training 24'X24'X6' MMA CAGE I must sell my cage so that I may have the money to go back to college. I just want to get the cost not including labor. You won't find a cage with all this, for money. I am 1yr from finishing college.I am the owner of an MMA school and I built this cage so my students and fighter would have the feel of being inside the cage and not freak-out when they stepped into the a professional fighting cage. This cage is not for Professional Events. I will tell you it works just fine, it resists 250+lb guys being pushed against the fence. It is not the most perfectly built, it is still incomplete. I built this cage with regular 9 gauge fence, a professional cage uses 6 gauge fence. (If you are technical about things the 9 gauge is an 111/2 gauge with vinyl coating bring it to a 9 gauge.) This cage was built up 3" to avoid the hardness of concrete because no matter how good padding is, you will feel the hardness. When the fence is stretched it ties all the vertical and horizontal posts together. Plus this cage is movable if you need to take it to your new gymIn the following I will give the breakdown of my cage:Fence & pipes: 9 gauge vinyl coated, the horizontal pipes are heavy duty fence pipes.Horizontal pipes: They sit inside the cup that ties to the post. I planning on cold welding them together with JB WELDVertical Posts: Heavy Duty Pipe Looks like 1/4" or 3/8" thick walls with 1/4x6"x6" plates with 4-5/8" holes. The guy who welded the pipes and plates left them a bit angled I had to make the adjustment on the fence. I will load pics.Door: Well heavy duty round pipe frame with 9 gauge fence.Canvass: 18oz vinyl professionally finished with grommetsFloor Padding: Cross Link 1.5" Foam cut to fit the cage and canvassPost padding: Carpet underlying rolled on all vertical and horizontal pipes (I used regular electrical tape to attach it to the post.)Vertical post padding: 65"x15"x3" of Cross Link FoamAdditional Floor pipe Padding: 6"x110"x1.5" Cross Link FoamFloor: Cage is tied in with THE wooden floor that is lifted 3" sits on 2x8,s and 2x4's so the everything is tied together.Floor deck 5/8" OSB floor boardVinyl covers: Vertical padding and horizontal padding do not have covers/you can have them made by a tarp guy.Date started the cage. 4/16/08The cage include the wooden floor.Feel free to contact me if you have any questions and about shipping.
