No rips or tears and definately no "hockey smell" to them.  The leg pads are a 36" + 2", with thigh boards and toe sliders on the bottom of the pads. The gloves fit large to XL hands.  You can check them all out on the Don Simmons Website. Cost for shipping is estimated at $75, but I think it will be less.  Either way, shipping cost will be actual cost only whether it's higher or lower depending on type of shipping chosen by buyer and destination, no added "handling fees".  Canada Post / US Post is the preferred method, but others can be discussed.
