Description
T-NUTS Buy it now price is for one Bag of 500 Four ProngZinc Plated Heavy duty 3/8"-16 t-nuts. 500 T-nuts spaced on a 7x7 inch grid is enough for 160 square feet of climbing surface.  (100 t-nuts per 4x8 sheet) If you need an install kit, let us know and we'll include one for free.  If you'd like to make one yourself, here's what you need:T-nut Install Kit Predrilled 2x4 Block with a 13/32" hole 5/16" Hex Wrench, 2 3/4" long, 3/8" diameter bolt3/8" Fender washer,3/8" sae flat washer 4 prong t-nuts are great for indoor residential climbing walls. They require more time to install than Round Base T-nuts but you'll keep more $ in your pocket! We recommend 100-130 t-nuts for every 32 square feet of climbing wall surface. 4 prong t-nuts are much easier to install with two people working together. Click on the pic to the left for more information on installing 4 prong t-nuts. For outdoor climbing walls we recommend using Stainless steel t-nuts. Note: There are a couple ways to install t-nuts. One way is to hammer them in.   Hammering is much quicker, but can present some problems in the future.   Here are the reasons we don't recommend hammering: When you hammer in the second t-nut, the first one has a tendency to bounce out. The shaft of the t-nut will not be perpendicular with the surface of the wall, which makes them prone to cross-threading.  If the t-nuts are not glued in they have a tendency to pop out the backside when you are trying to bolt on a climbing hold. Whatever method you decide to use, we hope your t-nut installation goes smoothly!
