They require more time to install than Round Base T-nuts but you'll keep more $ in your pocket! We recommend 100-130 t-nuts for every 32 square feet of climbing wall surface. 4 prong t-nuts are much easier to install with two people working together. Click on the pic to the left for more information on installing 4 prong t-nuts. For outdoor climbing walls we recommend using Stainless steel t-nuts. Note: There are a couple ways to install t-nuts. One way is to hammer them in. Hammering is much quicker, but can present some problems in the future. Here are the reasons we don't recommend hammering: When you hammer in the second t-nut, the first one has a tendency to bounce out. The shaft of the t-nut will not be perpendicular with the surface of the wall, which makes them prone to cross-threading. If the t-nuts are not glued in they have a tendency to pop out the backside when you are trying to bolt on a climbing hold. Whatever method you decide to use, we hope your t-nut installation goes smoothly!
