Costing only $5,000 to produce, Alan filmed Hawaii and California and got the Australian footage from Phil Sheppard. He re-released it three years later for this double feature as skateboarding was starting to explode; Spinning Wheels was a 35 minute "short" aided by John Lamb, and there was also a sneak preview of Free Ride, but Salt Water Wine was the deserved headliner especially with the notable sequences of Barry Kanaiaupuni at Sunset and Sammy Hawk at Pipeline.       Salt Water Wine surf movie posters are very rare as noted above, Alan Rich spent just $5,000 on the movie.
