Description
Rare Find '64 Old Town Otca 16' Classic Wooden Canoe ! Saved for another day this canoe is barn fresh. The canoe is in pristine restored condition. The canvas is tight and smooth and the varnish has mellowed to a rich golden color. There are minor marks on the canvas from it's little use. Reserve is less than what this canoe cost new. Wood canvas construction with the finest materials AA grade Mahogany trim. This is another canoe we are proud to offer. Serial # 174211 Canoe Specifications: ~ Length.......... 16' ~ Depth........... 12" ~ Beam............36" ~ Bow Height...... 25" ~ Weight (W/C)....... 70 lbs. Wood canvas construction with the finest materials, Mahogany rails. Old Town Otca Canoe: The “Otca” is wide, deep and roomy. The most capacious and ablest canoe the folks at Old Town build. The floor is flat, wide, and carried far into both ends. Sides are convex, producing a handsome tumblehome. Extra fullness at the bow and stern enables this canoe to ride large waves instead of cutting though them. For cruising, carrying heavy loads, on large rivers, lakes and salt water, this is a superior canoe. It paddles easily, will carry the larges load comfortably and can handle a maximum sail area if desired. Stock color was green but this one in now a lovely maroon. S/H $500. Most major US cities US lower 48 States. Also available for pick up at our shop. I washed the canoe and found it to be in exceptional condition. No Reserve, Replacement new would be about $4800.
