Description
You can save thousands over a new machine and get it now instead of 6 months from now. For auction is a used ROM 4 minute Exercise Machine with a transferrable warranty. If you're here looking for one of these you probably already know a lot about them. If not you can find out all you want to know at http://www.fastexercise.com If you are a serious buyer please contact me and I will provide the serial number and name so you can verify authenticity. I know people usually have pretty much the same questions when thinking about buying one of these so here's the story on why I'm selling: I lusted after this machine for years until last year when I had a heart attack. I finally decided I needed this for my rehabilitation and found one right here on ebay and that was relatively close by. I could pick it up myself and save shipping. I bought it with a cash advance on my credit card. Now I'm periously close to insolvency (because of other issues) and my financial advisor says I must retire as much of my discretionary debt as possible to avoid losing my house and credit rating. So I am reluctantly parting with this beautiful machine at a bargain price. Trust me, when I get back on my financial feet I WILL have another. Does it work? Oh yes. I have improved my cardiovascular fitness at least a 100%, maybe more. I couldn't even climb a flight of stairs before with the huffing and puffing and stopping every flight to catch my breath. I now take the steps two at a time and I'm not even breathing heavy at the top. I had an injured left shoulder that hurt so bad I couldn't sleep on that side for months. I can't even tell it was hurting now. I have torn cartilage in my left knee that prevented me from doing much at all and I was looking at surgery to repair. Again I hardly notice it now. I'm careful with it but I'm more or less totally functional. This is not a muscle machine but I'm definitely tighter, more toned and stronger than I was last November when I bought it. I've lost a total of 18 lbs since last winter using this machine and moderate diet changes (avoiding a lot of bread and starch). Will it work for you? Yes it will. If you are serious about getting fit and use it as it was intended you will find that it will be the longest 4 minutes you ever thought possible. If on the other hand you get on this thing and just lollygag around, get the wheel spinning and don't actually try and push yourself, you are wasting your time and money. Don't buy it. Now for the caveats (fine print). I am the third owner. The first owner lived in Florida and must have kept this in the garage because there is a little surface corrosion on some of the chrome parts and flywheel. Not a lot but enough to mar it's pristine appearance. I'm knocking off $500 from the normal asking price because of this. It does not affect the function in any way. It is still under warranty. I have a new Combination Bicycle Style Lock from RomFab and a new set of hand grips. There is also an instructional DVD that RomFab sent me when I became the new owner. Shipping can be arranged through TECHNICAL TRANSPORT at 1-800-851-9929 or your own shipper. Details and shipping costs are the buyers responsibility. This unit weights around 400 lbs and will need to be crated for shipping. Alternatively, if you are in the Mid Atlantic region within a few hours of the Metro DC area you might want to pick this up yourself. You will need a long bed pickup truck or at least an 8 foot trailer. Three fit men are needed to get through doors, up and down stairs, etc. If you are in the Metro DC area I can work something out with you to get this unit to your door for the cost of fuel. I prefer Paypal or we can do an Ebay Escrow if you are having the unit shipped. I prefer cash if you are picking up the unit locally. I'll work with you on this but everything must be on the up and up before the unit ships. Thanks for taking a look. Update Sept 5, 2008: A note on shipping charges. I've done some research on shipping charges and have discovered the following: If you want to have the unit crated and shipped with a freight company it's going to be expensive. Probably over $2000 and maybe close to $3000 depending on where you are shipping to. Alternatively I have checked with about a half dozen MOVING companies and their rates are lower, mostly in the $1200 - 1600 range. Again depending on the milage. With the moving companies, the unit's moving parts would be secured/tied down, the unit bubble wrapped and then blanket wrapped and piggybacked on a trailer with other household goods being moved to your area. Most companies quoted about 14 days delivery time. Just a FYI if you are trying to calculate shipping it's worth a look. Make sure the outfit you deal with is rated satisfactory by the BBB.
