PLUS - A genuine living area for the 2 Seconds series, sets up in 2 minutes, with direct access to 2 Seconds tents.       Technical Information:- Dimensions and weight: 2.25m square living area, 5sq m surface, max headroom 1.9m. 9.4kg. Bedroom space: A bedroom is sold separately to fix inside the Seconds Base, converting it to a 2 to 4-man tent for sleeping. Living Area: 5sq m easily accommodates 4 or even 6 for dining. Groundsheet included. Seconds Base tents (full or standard) can be twinned together, extending the shelter area to 10sq m. See demonstration film. Access: 2 of the 4 doors are for access, or for an "open" side, or for twinning with another Seconds Base. The other 2 are for access to a 2 Seconds tent. These access doors are protected from the rain by a hood that can cover the front of the 2 Seconds tent (whether it's an Air, XL or 1-, 2- or 3-man model). Pitching/folding: Pops up in 10 seconds, fully pitched in less than 5 minutes plus 1 or 2 2 Seconds tents. Free-standing (easy to move around, no pegs necessary when there's no wind, but ideal installation uses 12 pegs). Folds down in less than 2 minutes with the knack Waterproofing: Like all Quechua tents, the waterproofing has been particularly well-developed, approved in lab tests (WHOLE TENT in a shower of 450 litres/h/m2!) and on field tests. (PU coated polyester flysheet, 120gpsm polyethylene groundsheet, thermobonded sealed seams.) A breathable polyester bedroom under the flysheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the flysheet. Ventilation: 1 ventilation under each of the 4 "hoods", 4 insect-net windows (can be screened off) + 1 ceiling ventilation. Designed for optimum ventilation and to reduce natural condensation. Poles: Solid fibreglass for excellent break resistance. Tent pegs: 6mm galvanised steel pegs for good twisting resistance. Cover: 82cm diameter disc, 10cm thick. Non-zip flap which is more practical, and 2 straps for occasional carrying. UV protection: Our tent fabrics block over 98% of UVB and 80 to 95% of UVA rays. If you're looking for protection during the day, remember that a lot of UV rays reflect off the ground and in through open doors.   Detailed information:- Care instructions: CLEANING: if need be, clean the tent with soapy water then rinse (use of a hose possible). Then dry perfectly. RESIN STAINS (very hard to remove): once the stain is dry, gently scratch it off whilst holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the resin brittle so it will come off more easily. STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould forming.
