Like the SoulPad 4000-lite, this one has a separate groundsheet which means you can roll up the walls on a hot sunny day and let the cool breeze wash over you. It looks pretty cool too, creating the impression that your SoulPad is floating in mid-air!Worried about leaks and draughts? Don't be! There's a 20cm mudguard at the base of the walls which can be tucked under the groundsheet during bad weather. In addition (and unique to SoulPad) this SoulPad has strengthened eyelets located at intervals along the mudguard and outer edge of the groundsheet where a peg can be driven through the two and into the ground (when lined up correctly). This serves to seal the mudguard and groundsheet together and protect your soul from the elements. The lightweight, strong, 285g/m2 cotton canvas keeps the inside cool on a hot day and it's inviting sandy colour is easy on the eye and pleasant to wake up to. All the canvas in SoulPad tents is treated to be water, UV and mould resistant and has been impregnated to protect it from dirt, ultraviolet radiation and fungus. The SoulPads truly are a quality build with double stitching all around and reinforced at key points. This SoulPad has an A-framed covered entrance which stops the rain coming in and creates a useful porch. The zipped front door enables easy access. There are 4 zipped windows which also include integrated mosquito nets that allow the air to circulate whilst keeping the bugs out. In addition there are further vents situated at the very top of the 'bell'. The few poles that are required in this design are lightweight and durable, as are the pegs. The old heavy rope that was common with these tents has been replaced with longer lasting and lightweight nylon. This helps to reduce the overall weight.All SoulPads come with a generously sized, matching canvas bag which they can easily be packed into. A simple drawstring closure ensures no snagging of materials or overstretched zips.In trials it has taken 2 people no more than 15-20 minutes to erect any of the SoulPad tents. They are simple to use and can all be erected by one person, which is great fun to watch! This SoulPad is compatible with the SoulPad Blaze tent stove.
