If the steel in the tapered spring is too soft, then the user does not receive enough resistance in the forces generated by the spring. I used it for several months and my knees hurt everyday. I really was upset as I really wanted to jump on a mini rebounder. I was surfing the net and I stumbled upon your product (Cellerciser). I began to read about the spring system and the high quality mat. I got the unit home, it was already easier to unfold than the Urban Rebounder so this was a great sign.
