Description
THE Natural Choice... GET THE HEMP FACTOR in cycling bags that last & last! New from SOMA! THIS IS SIMPLY THE BEST LOOKING & BEST QUALITY MADE BENTO AVAILABLE! I use the Soma Stash Box on my own bike. I also have a matching SOMA Townsend Seat Pack on the back... I just recently stopped in at OPEN AIRE BICYCLES in Santa Barbara, and the owner commented on how nice my SOMA Bags Looked.  Well, they do look good!  It's nice to know somebody else noticed...  It's quality you can see and feel.  This Munch Box is siminar in configuration to the TNI Small bento, but it's really more of a medium size, as the Munch is just a little taller and a bit longer than the genuine small TNI Bento Box.  I noticed the superior materials immedieately. The addition of the vinyl lining makes clean up of emptly gel packs a snap.  Yeah, I don't throw em from the bike either. Yes, the other stupid unstlylistic thing I do is that when I ride, I actually wear a helmet too!~  Anyway, I've discovered that it's so much neater, nicer, and more convenient and safer to extract what I need from my bento box for my gels, endurolytes, etc. than to remove them form my jersey pockets. Dimensions: About 1 1/4 inch wide.  Actually it's sort of between 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 inches wide.  about 3 1/4 inches high by 3 1/4 inches long. SOMA "BENTO" STYLE BICYCLE MUNCH BOX  Made from  natural   HEMP & Cotton   Perhaps, they should of named it the STASH BOX?...  Sorry, I couldn't resist!! See my other auction for the matching TOWNSEND Hemp Seat Bag, and receive a shipping discount on the pair. Great solution for Triathaletes, and marathon cyclists.  Attaches behind your bicycle's bar stem and on top you bicycle's top tube, and attaches via Velcro Straps....  This convenient pack secures, your car keys, cell phone, gels, snack bars, cafe cleat covers etc.  while allowing easy access.  No more fumbling into your jersey pockets trying to grab these items by feel. A feed bag of sorts popular with triathletes.  Lets you carry a couple of Clif Bars and Gu in a convenient place without compromising aerodynamics. Straps to the stem and top tube. We also see some folks strapping them to the seatpost and top tube. READ ON... SUPERIOR QUALITY & BEAUTIFULLY MADE!   Used Gu packs are a sticky mess.  THE SOMA STASH BOX features an easy to clean wipe out moisture proof  vinyl interior, a unique feature of the Soma Munch Box, that cleans up easier than the unfinished nylon interiors of competing products. Mesh top is adjustable to secure items of various sizes.  The SOMA is just better by design.  Considerably larger than the compact Bento sold elsewhere.  Best of all, contructed of durable HEMP.  Which means that is will last years and years and years.  I  remember when the "ORIGINAL" TNI Bento Box arrived on the scene.  I saw these for the first time when I rode a "THE LIGHTHOUSE Century ride in SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY"  Such a practical bicycling accessory. and all around clever disign, I thought!  WOW, why didn't I think of this?     I realize that this sounds like the same ol' hippie rhetoric, or a guise to legalize marijuana. But the economical and lifestyle ramifications are tremendous. Take the paper and cotton industries:You can use hemp fibers to make paper that is much stronger and will last longer than that derived from trees... (I GUESS THAT'S WHY OUR CURRENCY IS MADE FROM HEMP) and hemp grows 2x as fast as most trees. Hemp is also cheaper to grow than cotton; it doesn't require as much pesticides or deplete the soil and hemp cloth is far stronger than cotton. WE ARE FOR USE OF HEMP IN A WAY THAT POSITIVELY IMPACTS THE WORLD.We use hemp/cotton canvas on our bags, because it allows us to reduce the use of nylon and thus conserve oil, which you know is a non renewable resource.  Why get a  SOMA BENTO MUNCH BAG? Well, convenience is the most compelling reason.  Yeah, I forgot mine on the last DOUBLE CENTURY I did up in Malibu in June.  So, my Endurolyte capsules and Anti Fatique Casules, (See seller: Simplydeluxe), were relegated to the Jersey Pockets.  Well, you guessed it, I never found em again, and suffered for it near the end of that very long ride!  You know... out of sight, out of mind!  The MUNCH Box,  just puts things like that in easy reach, so the rider won't forget to take them.  the Munch Box will fit on Road, or Mountain Bikes as well.  Long VELCRO Straps will accomdate just about any size top tube diameter. HEMP FACTS: The First American Flag was made of HEMP fabric The U.S. Constitution was written on HEMP paper George Washington & Thomas Jefferson were Hemp Farmers The first blue jeans were made from HEMP fabric The First Model A FORD was built to run on Methanol Fuel derived from HEMP From before 1000 BC until 1883, HEMP was gthe planets largest agricultural crop and most important industry for thousands of products and enterprises.  Other thoughts on HEMP: Hemp is an organic crop.  Hemp grows well without pesiticides Hemp doesn't add Co2 to the atmosphere unlike petroleum products, such as NYLON & POLYESTER HEMP fiber lasts longer and is actually stronger than cotton.  It softens over time but does not weaken as you use it.  It resists UV light and mold. Hemp grows well in poor soil, preventing erosion and desertification. Hemp can replace most wood products thus reducing the need to cut down trees. It is the earth's premier, renewable natural resource.  Why isn't HEMP being used more widely.  You can thank the Hearst Family and their publishing empire for that one. Please email me at pschaida@yahoo.com if you have any questions or just hit the ask the seller a question tab in the auction.
