If you are looking for a new tank, be aware of some of the things I see being said in some of the other auctions that say "new tank". 1. Some say "Current hydro". That could mean that the tank, although never used, may have been sitting in a dive shop store room for up to 5 years. The tanks we offer are fresh from the factory. You can't get a fresher hydro date than the one we will give you. 2. Our tanks do not come with a VIP sticker. If the tank you are buying has a VIP sticker it is a used tank. That means it has already had air put in it. Any air filling station will require you to have a new VIP when you bring in a new tank. Any empty tank requires a VIP before being filled. If there is air in it and stickers on it, it is not a new tank. We ship you a new tank that has never had a valve installed and a new valve that has never been in a tank, packaged seperately. For that reason the tank you receive from us will have no VIP sticker. In order to get buyer protection on eBay you must make your purchase on eBay and pay with Paypal. eBay owns Paypal. Paypal charges us more to process a sale than does a credit card company. That higher cost must be considered when we decide on our selling prices. eBay has a "Pay Now" feature that they want us to put on our auction page. If we use that feature the buyer is taken automatically to Paypal to pay. If we allow the customer to choose their own favorite payment method, eBay puts a notice on our acution page stating "This item is not covered by buyer protection on eBay" making it look like there is something wrong with our product or service. eBay buyer protection has strict limits on the dollar amount and other restrictions to limit your protection. If you pay with a credit card, there is no limit on the dollar amount of your protection and the other restrictions do not apply. We feel that paying with a credit card gives you much better protection than eBay buyer protection. Our company was established in 1975. We have been selling on the internet for 15 years. We have 99.5% positive feedback on eBay. We have requested that eBay stop putting that negative soundng "protection" notice on our auction pages, but they have refused. The United States has federal laws prohibiting monopolies from acting in restraint of trade. Does the fact that eBay owns the auction company and the payment company constitute a vertical monopoly? Is eBay in violation of the various federal restraint of trade and monopoly laws? Are we a big enough company to force eBay to change this? Not a chance.
