All aluminum constructed funnel mount, funnel adjustment shaft and timer canister with black powder coated finish. Stainless steel set-screws (includes allen wrench). Watertight/airtight canister chamber with approx. 3/16" thick wall conceals timer and electronics. Gasket seals prevent dust or water from entering canister chamber. High-torque quartz clock and batteries are easily accessible by un-screwing bottom set-screw. Panel can be pulled downward to make or change your feeder setting. Special design will allow the panel to lower to a stopping point and will not fall completely out of the canister. This allows you to have both hands free to make your desired settings. Feeder has a 12-volt high-torque motor (manufacturer's exclusive design). Uses 11 AA alkaline batteries (batteries not included). 10 AA batteries are used for feeder operation and 1 AA battery is used for clock movement. Batteries last up to 1 year with standard feedings. The feeding times can be set from 1 to 12 times per day with a duration of 3 to 16 seconds. Spin-plate throws feed approx. 70 feet diameter. The space between the funnel and spin-plate adjust easily so a variety of feed/seed/grain can be used. BARREL/TRIPOD FEATURES: Large 32" high, 18" diameter green polyethylene molded barrel (UV protected). This barrel is heavy duty, up to 1/2" thick at mounting points. Comes with black polyethylene barrel lid (UV protected) with fully cupped outer sealing lip. Unique designed steel lid clamp ring squeezes lid securely to barrel keeping water out. Special designed clamp ring comes with handle latch to insure lid clamp does not loosen. Latch is also lockable, using a small pad lock (pad lock not included). The barrel band-clamp is made of steel (2" wide, 3/16" thick) and comes with 3 welded leg supports (13/16" square). All threaded bolt and nut (included) is used to secure band-clamp to barrel (no holes to drill). The 3 steel pipe legs consist of 9 - 30" long pipes that are crimped at each end, allowing you to slide 3 together forming each leg (approx. 90" long).
