The powerful blade is manufactured from extremely hard, yet tough, resilient Laminated VG10 Steel that can withstand the stresses of heavy usage. With the A1, a new world standard is being set in technical design, ergonomics, and economy. The A1 meets, and exceeds, established international standards for strength, personal security and value.   The knife is superb for chopping with, but it also works extremely well for everyday tasks, thanks to the ergonomic grip of a well designed handle. Since the full tang goes entirely through the handle, it is possible, in an emergency, to hammer on the end of the knife without damaging the handle or breaking the grip.   Together with the injection moulded, tough, double-safety, one hand operated Zytel sheath, the Fallkniven A1 is a completely water-resistant, powerful knife, which will work just as well in extreme cold as in stifling heat. Extras We can offer you the DC3 and/or DC4 sharpening stones to work in conjunction with your knife at the discounted prices of £7.95 and £12.95 respectively (no additional P&P costs either!). In addition to this, we can also offer you the D3T and/or the D4T sharpening stone at a cost of £5.95 and £6.95. These stones are similar to the DC3/4 sharpening stones but with the diamond side only. The D3T and D4T have self adhesive sides to them which fix directly to the sheath of the knife (Zytel sheath) ensuring you always have a means of sharpening at hand. Should you find yourself in a serious survival situation, you can rest assured that you will be able to keep your knife in the best condition possible.
