Description
The Edelrid Eddy is the safest belay device for climbing (from the gym to the crag and the big walls). Check the excellent reviews in climbing magazines. The Eddy is superior to the Petzl Grigri in the way it feeds the rope, catches a fall and eliminates accidents that happen with other auto-locking devices. The Edelrid Eddy is the perfect belaying device for either novice or the experienced climber. The Eddy doesn't need much explanation and in simplicity is safety. Easy to thread, the rope follows logically the rope flow. A controlled descent with an emergency break system eliminates the "panic pull" syndrome which can lead to serious accidents with the Petzl Grigri. The Eddy provides maximum safety whether top roping or lead climbing with easy paying out of rope to the leader. Can be used for single ropes with diameters from 9 to 11 mm. Search words: rock, climb, belay, rope, sport, gym, trad. • Weight: 12.3 oz (350g) • Rope sizes accepted: 9.0-11 mm • CE Certified • Retails for $140.000 My girlfriend and I own two of these and we only need one. The one I am selling here has been used once in the gym.It is in absolutely immaculate condition.
