Very Rare Bobby Jones Limited Collector's Edition of Golf Training Films produced by Warner Brothers in 1931 to 1933 and reproduced by Sybervision Includes Certificate of Authenticity #9582 Heading: (Jones, Bobby) Author: Price, Charles Title: The SyberVision Limited Collectors Edition Bobby Jones ''How I Play Golf'': A Collection of Eighteen Recently Discovered Instructional Films Featuring the Greatest Golfer of All Time Place: [Newark, CA] Publisher: SyberVision Systems, Inc. Date: [1987] Description: Comprises: Two VHS videocassette tapes. * . 3-page folding leaflet "Bobby Jones" by Charles Price (article specially written to introduce these tapes). * Table of contents for the videocassettes (with some background information). * Together, 2 VHS tapes and 3 paper items. All housed in the original folding and closing plastic case with pictorial and textual paper inserts and internally lined with green velvet. One of an unspecified number of copies. Limited Edition. Learn to play golf from the master himself. Publisher states: "These videocassettes are first generation reproductions from the original film masters produced by Warner Brothers from 1931 to 1933. The masters were discovered by Ely Callaway, a long-time friend of Bobby Jones, in a Kansas storage vault in 1986. SyberVision Systems Inc. has received the complete support and approval from the heirs of Bobby Jones (Jonesheirs, Inc.) to introduce these important films." Contents leaf states: "Starting in 1931, Warner Brothers filmed 18 classic shorts featuring Bobby Jones. The first twelve were entitled 'How I Play Golf' and the last six 'How to Break 90,' They were filmed at the Flintridge Country Club and the Lakeside Golf Club in Los Angeles and included many Hollywood stars. Each vignette is approximately 10 minutes long." Includes the original paper work, including the Certificate of Authenticity, various letters and/or notes from the publisher (Steve DeVore), order form, etc. Scarce! These very rare tapes are have been sold at public auction for well over $100 (when available.) The Certificate of Authenticity is very infrequently included in auctions and adds a great deal to the market value of this item.
