Description
Vehicle Description ENGINES AVAILABLE Up for Auction is one a 1967 ALL FIBERGLASS (bullet proof hull) 42 foot Chriscraft Commander Motoryacht Styled in Fiberglass. (Almost 45 feet Length Overall) This boat would never by on the market no less at this price but I just purchased a much larger Hatteras Motor Yacht and am going to concentrate my efforts restoring her. So someone is going to get a deal of a lifetime on this boat. The ORIGINAL hull gelcoat is in unbelievable condition. It was waxed at the begining of the year and shined brilliantly. The bottom had a fresh coat of paint this year before the boat was launched and is in great shape as well. With no evidence of any prior repairs what so ever. The running gear is in excellent condtion. The shafts are true as a bell and the props are in near excellent condition (just need a little cleaning) Topside decks are all fiberglass and solid as rock with not one soft spot anywhere. (Sone of grey coloring has weared off and could use some attention) All the Stainless steel rails are in excellent condition. They are tight as as as a drum and are not loose anywhere. Working windless with plenty of anchor and rode, Plenty of Bumper Buoys and dock lines. Nice swim platform with boarding ladders and pegs. The platform is very structurally sound, but could use some cosmetic re-finishing. This is a huge liveaboard / Summer home Motoryacht. The boat has had 3 owners. It was originally owned by famous pitcher Bret Sabergan and his family. Then by a high end race car technician, then me. Fully Furnished Huge Aft Master Stateroom (barely even shown in the pictures) with private shower and head, twin beds, nice dressor, tons of locker/ closet space and AC. Fully furnished Salon / Living room area updated in a very tastefull Nautical manner. Including very nice couches, tables, ratton chairs, clocks, pictures, weather instruments, lamps, etc. Nice size Kitchen with all the amenitiys of home Second guest bathroom located before the second Bedroom in the V-Berth. (opposite the kitchen) The entire boat is filled with fine cabinety, closets and decorative panels of real wood and is in very nice condition. Update interior done very tastefully. Everything thats on the boat stays with the boat. Comes fully furnished with all bedding, dressers, couches, Dinette charis, TV's-2, VCR, Radio, Microwave, Refridgeerator, Stove, Various nautical decorations such as Ships wheel clocks, nice bar, pictures, lamps, remote search light, bumpers, dock lines, life preservers, VHF radio, Curtains, Linens, blinds,Shore power lines etc, etc THE BOAT IS A VERY WORTH PROJECT That needs 2 new engines to be installed. (transmissions are fine and included with the boat). (The original 427 ford Engines are not included with the boat). (I was going to install Twin Chevy Big Blocks) Reinstall the windshield system and caulk throughout. Go through and clean up the entire boat. A little Tinkering here and there with some the wiring connections, guages, etc. Clean up and do some brightwork on the boat inside and out. Repair and or get new canvas poles for the rear canvas enclosure system. Canvas itself has many pieces, most of which including the clear sections and side panels are in very good condtion. The main topside section will need to be repaired or replaced along with some zippers and some poles here and there. NEEDS WINDSHIELD TO BE RE-MOUNTED. IT IS CURRENTLY SITTING ON THE FRONT DECK (taken down in order for the boat to be transported over land) With the windshield down if you choose to remove the boat from the marina its completely ready to be transported over land.
