Description
1 of 5 sets in existence (and i own 4 of them).  and there will not be anymore sets as i have a lot of the players' cards that people need and thus am blocking them.  Anyhow, you are bidding on an incredibly rare 2007 McDonald's Portrait Rookie complete set  and they are all graded BGS 9.5 by Beckett.  Could go down as the greatest basketball set ever - even better than '86 Fleer as these are all TRUE rookies and there are not that many out there.  I can only imagine the interest level once its posted in Beckett Basketball Magazine.  You get 24 players (that's all of them) and the subgrades (Centering, Corners, Edges, and Surface)/serial numbers/breakdown of each player is as follows:  1) Michael Beasley (9/9.5/9.5/9.5 # 0005446450) is projected to go first overall and has put up the best overall numbers in NCAA History!  2) Derrick Rose (9.5/9.5/9.5/9.5 # 0005055874) is projected to go second overall and is considered the best pure point guard in a long time.  3) OJ Mayo (10/9/9.5/10 # 0005088560) is projected to go 3rd overall and has an explosive NBA-ready game who worked extremely hard on his defense skills during his freshman year at USC. 4) Jerryd Bayless (9.5/9.5/9.5/9.5 # 0005446392) is projected to go 4th-5th and is a outright scoring machine at the guard position and he really garnered a lot of interest after watching his freshman year at Arizona.  5) Eric Gordon (9.5/9/9.5/9.5 # 0005505744) is projected to go 4th-6th and is NBA-ready and should be a star at the NBA level.  6) Kevin Love (9.5/9.5/9.5/9.5 # 0005446429) led UCLA to the Final Four and was the most impressive big man in the country this season who scores inside and outside at will with equal deft touch.  7) JJ Hickson (9/9.5/9.5/9.5 # 0005215580) played at NC State and shined but his team was not very good.  Scouts rave about his athletic ability.  8) Donte Greene (9.5/9/9.5/9.5 # 0005361584) played at Syracuse and has the ability to explode at the NBA level.  Is very tight with Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony and is expected to join their status in the future.  9) Kosta Koufos (9.5/9.5/9.5/10 # 0005446421) is expected to go mid-1st round and is very tall.  Kind of a gamble but could do well in the NBA......that's the players that have formally declared; now for the rest that are staying in school.  10) Blake Griffin (9.5/9/9.5/9.5 #0005253149) should have come out for the draft!  He's the closiest thing to Barkley's game as there will ever be.  He's strong, athletic, makes the deft passes, and just destroys all that guard him.  Draft experts had him pegged to go as high as 3rd overall if he had came out.  11) James Harden (9.5/9/9.5/10 # 0005446401) was rumored to be the best player in the Pac 10 last season but didn't get the recognition because of lack of national spotlight games like Mayo and Love.  It was a shock that Harden decided to go back to ASU cause he's ready and is destined for stardom at the next level.  12) Patrick Patterson (9.5/9/9.5/9.5 # 0005215606) was the best player on UK last season and shows the maturity and desire to be a special player once he declares for the NBA in the future.  13) Kyle Singler (9.5/9.5/9.5/9.5 # 0005446440) was best player on a talented Duke team that did everything asked of him: stout D in the low post, rebound, make assists, and lead his team in scoring.  Will be a nice pro for some team someday.   14) Corey Stokes (9.5/9.5/9.5/9.5 # 0005505738) really came on for Villanova last season and looks to explode next year as an All-American. Was key in his team's late season success.  15)  James Anderson (9.5/9/9.5/9.5 # 0005072732) was the best player on OSU Cowboys' squad and their fans are happy he's coming back.  One of the best guards in the country last season but like James Harden - he just didn't get the spotlight on him as much as the powerhouse teams did.  Should destroy the competition next season and make all the All-American lists.  16) Austin Freeman (9/9.5/9.5/9.5 # 0005253169) played at Georgetown and showed he has one the prettiest shots in the college ranks.  His game is so smooth that I suspect Freeman will declar next year and go in the top 5.  17) Nick Calathes (10/9/9.5/9.5 # 0005446454) is the smartest player in this class and plays a game similar to John Stockton except that Nick is taller.  Seems to know where his teammates are at all times, putting the ball on the money every time.  Great player that would have gone in the teens this draft and will be a top 10 pick next season.  18) Johnny Flynn (9.5/9.5/9.5/9 # 0005253156) played at Syracuse with Donte Greene and played very well. Should be a high pick next year.  19) Nolan Smith (9.5/9/9.5/9.5 # 0005157479) played guard for Duke last season is Coach K's kind of player.  Did very well and is a very smart player that has NBA Scouts watching.  20) Cole Aldrich (9.5/9.5/9.5/9 # 0005215538) simply won a National Championship with Kansas last season.  Not bad for a freshman but really, Aldrich did well.  He got a lot of playing time late in the season and is expected to step up into a leadership role next year.  Big man with upside.  21) Jai Lucas (10/9/9.5/9.5 # 0005253160) son of NBA player, John Lucas, Jai played at the Univ of Florida with Calathes.  Showed a very big game for the smallest guy in the class.  Florida was very young last season but with Calathes, Jai should be able to push Florida back among the elite.  22) Gani Lawal (9.5/9.5/9.5/10 # 0005446371) played at Georgia Tech and even though I love his athletism, he looked timid.  Next season, he should be more comfortable and produce like NBA Scouts project him to do so.  23) Chris Wright (9/9.5/9.5/9.5 # 0005215543) played with Freeman at Georgetown but was injured last year so we really haven't had a chance to see what he can do.  Seems mature and poised to do well as he showed tons of leadership on the sidelines last season.   24) Taylor King (10/9/9.5/9.5 # 0005446487) was a promising star out of California but he really hit the wall at Duke and has since transferred to Villanova for next season.  Hopefully he shows Duke they made a mistake in letting him go.   Shipping via Priority Mail with insurance and signature delivery confirmation is $20.00.   There is only 6 of these sets in existence and I own 4 of them (I have certain players like Freeman, Wright, and Calathes blocked so others can't complete a set) and I highly doubt you will see this BGS 9.5 set on eBay again.  The sky is limitless for this rare set.  I wouldn't be surprise if it hit $10,000 in just a few years.  You see the stars in this set and no other recruiting class has ever come close.
