This Ventnor features a modem soft, dry, modified "V" -bottom with a driveline tunnel, allowing reduced propeller shaft angle ,while creating flat, safe ride and greater forward visibility. Today's Ventnor from the waterline up, mirrors its 1945 sister ship ... but is far superior in appearance, ride, performance and safety, it is without question, the absolutely BEST REPLICA ever produced. The stem half of the Ventnor best resembles the upper half of an aircraft empennage. The non-functional dorsal fill takes the place of the vertical stabilizer, while the lower transom acts as a horizontal stabilizer in the manner of the conventional square stem of traditional runabouts. With the Ventnor, you get the appearance of the torpedo stem, but not the squirrelish yawings and longitudinal roll, normally associated with full torpedo-stem boats.
