Filmed by Dan Merkel, the slow motion sequences are out of this world as is the soundtrack which included Joan Armatrading, Pablo Cruise, and Billy Preston. This was a very influential surfing film as future world champions Shaun Tomson, Mark Richards, and Wayne Bartholomew began overtaking the Hawaiian surfers on Oahu's North Shore.
